Research Field
Representation theory
Research Interests
I am studying the representation theory and the integrable systems. In particular, the algebraic systems called quantum groups, which generalizes the notion of Lie groups as symmetries of equations, and the associated solvable systems such as integrable difference equations.
Contents of Instruction
The representation theory on Lie groups and Lie algebras and their quantum group version, spherical functions and Calogero type differential /difference operators and their generalizations associated with elliptic curves, and as the basis of these, soliton equations, solvable lattice model, and conformal field theory.
One word
In this area, everyday life would be difficult because you must handle many things in parallel. However, in the field I am studying, we can feel such that “we have one mathematics”. For the quick introduction to this field of study, we have a book, “Invitation to Mathematical Physics”, by Hiroshi Ezawa (published by Yuseisha in 1994, in Japanese: Please read chapters, 2, 3, 7 and 8, especially), or a book written by T Miwa, E Date, M Jimbo "Solitons --- differential equations, symmetries and infinite dimensional algebras" (Cambridge university press, 2000).
