Research Field
Global Analysis
Research statement
Global analysis is a field of research that involves studying various phenomena expressed by equations on spaces such as manifolds, graphs, and metric-measure spaces. This field encompasses a range of approaches, including geometry, analysis, probability, and mathematical physics. It is a diverse and dynamic area of study.
Our research lab focuses on two main research topics. The first topic is the global structure of non-compact spaces. This involves studying self-adjoint realizations of the Laplacian, the heat kernel, Liouville properties, and the spectrum. For more information, you can visit https://researchmap.jp/jmas.
The second research topic is shape design and mathematics. This is an interdisciplinary project with mechanical engineering. The study area involves homogenization methods, distance functions, and wave analysis. For further information, please visit https://optimalshapes.com/.
To students and Postdocs
We welcome enthusiastic graduate students and postdocs and aim to support their efforts to produce mathematical results. If you are interested in joining us, please don't hesitate to contact us.
